THE VACINAL PROFILE OF ELDERLY IN A COMMUNITY OF QUARTER OF XERÉM ACCOMPANIED BY THE UNIVERSITY STUDENTS FROM THE UNIGRANRIO.
Abstract
Study conducted by academic 7th period of the graduate nursing in the UNIGRANRIO during practice experience in Collective Health III. The object of investigation was the profile of the vaccine in elderly of the Community Our Lady of Fatima in Xerém, in the municipality of Duque de Caxias. Objective to trace the profile of the immunization coverage of elderly. Search of a quantitative, descriptive, the subjects were 44 elderly of the families served by visit home in the first half of 2007. The scenario: residence of the elderly. Highlights that the ethical issues in the search were met. The analysis of data was performed using statistical methods is simple, with tables. The results indicate that of the 44 elderly interviewed: 70.5% are female; 65.7% have more than 70 years; 63,7% have portfolios of vaccination; among the alleged reasons for not having received the vaccine are to misinformation the lack of vaccination card and the difficulty of locomotion. As the rates of immunization coverage the study indicates that 27 elderly people were vaccinated with anti-Influenza, 16 double-dT, 02 with anti-pneumococcal and 06 received other vaccines. We believe that this work has a vision different on the issues on the elderly, increasing shares of prevention by health professionals who work with this, pointing out that this can and should be achieved through immunization, in addition, has particular relevance for schools, training and serves as a material for a preliminary assessment of the performance of the academics who make education practical this community.
