Graciliano Ramos: the metalinguistic narrative and the prisons of the language
Abstract
The present article intends to analyse the metalinguistic narrative in the Graciliano Ramos’s novel, especially SãoBernardo (1934) and Angústia (1936) and how this writer questions literary’s market situation. The literature may be seen or thought as a way to denounce the injustice, but beyond this it may be used for to serve the literary’s market. It’s still necessary to observe that the writer’s work had the preoccupation with the rehabilitation of the Brazilian novel.
