A way for the research with oral narratives in the north of Minas Gerais

Abstract

In this article we propose to discuss some peculiarities of a research in course with oral narratives produced in the north of Minas Gerais and Vale do Jequitinhonha, starting from a methodological approach that enables the comprehension, through their myths, rites and constituent elements, of the historical-social processes presented in those narratives. Also, enables the comprehension of their systems of representation and identity construction, by means of their memorialistic production. The discussion aims at comprehending the contributions of the Cultural Studies not only for the reconstruction of the subjectivity in the cultural space, but also for the perception of other important axes, such as globalization, migratory processes, culture as social practice and its repercussions on the construction and ressignification of regional identities.
