Abstract

The fictional narrative A Obscena Senhora D (1982), by Hilda Hilst, which is an example of the transgression of the interdict imposed to sexuality, should be also read under the light of its philosophical character: as an erotic narrative, it presupposes psychological search, revelation and mystery. The present work intends to demonstrate the recurrence of the image of the pig throughout the narrative as a starting point to the understanding of the protagonist’s philosophical search. Furthermore, it intends to analyze the way such an image is related to the three other pillars of the text: the body, God and the erotic language.
